At the end of last month, I decided let my 96′ Golf to retire and get myself a brand new Honda Fit.  Why did I choose a Fit?  The main reason is because the price and fuel consumption.

Since it is replacing a car for daily use, to and from work, and do glossaries etc; I need a car that does not burn a crazy amount of gas everyday like killing a tree on every mile I traveled and it needs to be roomy and most importantly, price needs to be cheap, well relatively cheap.

2008 Honda Fit, equipped with a 1.5L 4 cylinder engine that produce 109HP and 105 lbs/feet torque with burning 7.1 L/100km (city) or 5.7 L/100km (hwy) of gas.  What I like about Fit is the style is pretty and somewhat young looking (since I’m not and old family dude) and the seats can be folded to create amazing huge interior space.  The seats gives you enough leg rooms in order to let your family and friends sit in your Fit comfortably.

Never the less, I had a great experience when I was purchasing the car from Vancouver Honda which I think I should give them a create for that.  When my wife and I walked in to the dealership, I was served almost right the way and everyone there provided an excellent service.

Now with the new fit, I’m spending about 35 bucks for a tank of gas where it would be $50+ to fill up the Golf that I had with the same price for the gas.  Plus when I purchased the Fit, Honda was offering 0.9% finance and 90 days no payment which saved me a lot of money and I’m happy :D

Here is a Real Life Bond car that is modified based on a Lotus.  It can be driven on the roads like an ordinary car but it can also be driven under the water like a sub-marine.  It can go as deep as 20m under the water.  Due to the safely reason, the car is a convertable and the driver and passenger will get really wet after driving in the water :P

Here is a video of the car:

Since my blog is pretty new, just over 3 months old, Google rank my blog at ‘0′ at the beginning.  Now I need to wait until next Google rank adjustment and hopefully Google will rank my blog higher in order to unlock more opportunities so I can make more money :)

In my earlier post, I’ve mentioned that Microsoft is gonna compensate the Xbox Live was down during the holiday and made thousands of holiday gamers mad at them.  Here is the newest announcement from Xbox Live support updated on January 18, 2008.

We’re pleased to announce that from 2:00 a.m. PST Wednesday, January 23, 2008 through 11:59 p.m. PST, Sunday, January 27, 2008 you can download the full version of the recent Xbox LIVE Arcade game, Undertow free of charge.

The game doesn’t look that exciting but since it’s free of charge, I might as well download it when it’s available.  Would you?

Today when I was looking at my friends’ fun wall on Facebook, there was a joke that I found it is funny and it’s true in real life if you have a second thought.  It highlighted the challenges a couple would face after they get married.  The joke was originally written in Chinese, and the following is the joke translated into English.

The email sent by a consumer to the software company for help:

To Whom It May Concern,

Last year, I updated “Boy Friend 5.0″ to “Husband 1.0″, I found that the performance and functionality of the system started having problems, especially the two functions: “Send Flowers” and “Give Jewelry”.  These two functions were working properly under “Boy Friend 5.0″.  Moreover, “Husband 1.0″ has removed some useful features like “Romantic 9.5″ and “Care 6.5″ and are replaced by “Hockey 5.0″, “NBA 3.0″ and “Super Bowl 4.1″.  “Communication 8.0″ became non-functional as well.  Every time when I tried to run “House Cleaning 2.6″, the whole system were frozen.  I tried to run “Become Garrulously 5.3″ to solve the system error, but it didn’t work.  Would you please give me some suggestion how to fix these problems.

From,
Impatient Wife

The following is the reply from the software company

Dear Impatient Wife,

First of all, “Boy Friend 5.0″ is an entertaining software and “Husband 1.0″ is an operating system.  You can get more information from http://I_Thought_You_Love_Me.htmlor you can download the patch files “Tears 6.2″ and “Feel Guilty 3.0″.  If the above patches run, then “Husband 1.0″ should automatically start running the two functions: “Send Flowers” and “Give Jewelry”.  However, please keep in mind that if you run the patches too many times, “Husband 1.0″ will start the “Get Mad 2.5″, “Hang Out In Pubs 7.0″ and “Chat With Girls 6.1″ automatically.  “Chat With Girls 6.1″ is very buggy and it will automatically download the try out version of “Cheating 1.0″.  Please be reminded that you should never install “Mother-In-Law 1.0″ which is known as a virus and will use all the resources of your system.  In additional, please do not try to re-install “Boy Friend 5.0″ as we no longer support this software plus it does not compatible with “Husband 1.0″ and will cause unpredictable conflicts and errors.  In general, “Husband 1.0″ is a very useful system; however, due to the limitation of the memory, we cannot add new features to the system.  We suggest you to purchase another external system “Delicious Meals 3.0″ and “Sexy Underwear 7.7″ to improve the system’s performance.

Porsche Panamera Hybrid

Porsche has announced that they are planning to build a hybrid version of its Cayenne SUV by the end of the decade, and recently, they announced that a four-door Panamera will also be available in hybrid flavour.

This is exciting news, not just because hybrids are obviously very important and worthy, but because it means the Panamera definitely exists.

See, although we’ve known for a while that a Porsche four-door is on the way, this is the first time that Stuttgart has formally acknowledged that it’ll be the Panamera.

Not that we know for certain what it’ll look like, as the only official sketch released is this rather dull outline.

However, Porsche is bandying around the words ‘low’, ‘muscular’ and ‘dynamic’ which, as expected, lines the Panamera straight up against the upcoming Aston Martin Rapide. But the Rapide won’t get a hybrid.

Porsche PanameraUsing similar technology to the hybrid Cayenne - a standard combustion engine up front and an electric motor in the rear - the hybrid Panamera should, according to Porsche, return over 31mpg.

Porsche has also confirmed that the Panamera will be a strict four-seater, with just two seats in the back. We’re expecting to see the Panamera on the road in 2009, with the hybrid version to follow in 2010.

For the Holiday gamers, you might experised difficulty connecting to Xbox Live during the holiday.  Microsoft has claimed that during this past holiday season we broke a number of Xbox Live record.  Due to the fustration the holiday gamers might have, Microsoft has offer full Xbox Live arcade access free of charge to download.

Dear Xbox LIVE Members:

During this past holiday season you helped us break a number of Xbox LIVE records. This included our largest sign-up of new members to Xbox LIVE in our 5 year history and just yesterday you broke the record for the single biggest day of concurrent members ever on the service.

As a result of this massive increase in usage we know that some of you experienced intermittent Xbox LIVE issues over the holiday break. While the service was not completely offline at any given time, we are disappointed in our performance. I would like to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for your patience and understanding as our team has worked around the clock to return the service to a stable state.

At the same time we would like to offer a token of our appreciation to all of you in celebration of record success for the service. And as a thank you for your loyalty during this holiday period, we will be offering all of our Xbox LIVE members around the world access to a full Xbox LIVE Arcade game that will be available to download free of charge. In the coming weeks we will be sharing the specific details of this offer with you.

Thank you again for helping make Xbox LIVE everything that it is today!

Sincerely,

Marc Whitten

Achievements in 2007

I’m expecting my first payment from my sponsors next week and a few more week after next week.  I’m so excited, and I’m planning to donate part of the sponsor income to local charities (depending on how much I received) in about June 2008.

New Year Wishes

I wish you all have a great New Year and great successful in year 2008.

After a month of wait, I finally got a great due for a copy of Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare at BestBuy on boxing day.

How do I like this game

Unlike previous COD games, which take place during world war II, this game is about modern times.  The game play is a lot better than the previous CODs in my opinion, I like how you are told what to do by the AI soldiers and fight as a team.  The store is told with a satellite images, holographic pictures of military equipment which I think it’s amazing.

In COD 4, you can shoot through thin objects, bullet holds on the wall and objects.  You can shoot and blow up vehicles to do a multiple kills at the same time.  These add a lot to the game and make it so much more fun and realistic.

I just started the game in single player campaign and I haven’t tried the multi-player (xbox live) mode yet and hopefully, they do better on the re-spawning to avoid spawn camping which ruin the multi-player mode of the game like what happened in COD 3.  I can’t wait to try out the multi-player mode after I finish the single player campaign.
