In the last two weeks, I’ve been working so hard to explose myself in the internet world and hopefully would not only drive more traffic but readers to my blog. During the process, I’ve learned that:
Be nice when posting a comment
I’ve received a few traffic by leaving comments to other blogs that I’ve visited. As the traffic to my blog increases, the more spammer trying to spam by commenting my posts, and that’s what spammers do - leaving unrelated comments to the posts. What would I do? I’ll basically remove them from the blog.
Whenever, I comment on someone’s posts, I would read the whole article carefully before I post the comment. Most of the time, the blogger would reply my comment. I’m not only gaining the traffic from posting comments, but I could make some friends also. There are a lot of experienced and nice blogger out there, who would be happy to help the newbie bloggers (like me).

hey..it worked! You visited my site and now I am visiting you
Thanks for visiting me. Yes, commenting is good to draw traffic and just plain kind. Provided the comment is kind!
Sensible advice, this is not a spam comment as I found you after you have visited my Blog. I do not moderate my comments as yet as the volume of comments dose not warrant it although I might have to change this if my Blog gets more hits and sunsequently more comments.
Yes, I agree about commenting and traffic. When you leave a comment saying something nice and/or informative, chances are the blog owners will visit your blog also. I browsed over to john cow’s blog and left a comment yesterday, and when I woke up this morning I saw that he visited my blog also. And I try to follow up on all the comments left on my blog also.
Good advice, David and nice blog. I’m trying to build up traffic on my site as well. I need to focus on more specific content - I’m kind of all over the place
Keep up the good work and good luck!
